Adam Mitchel Lambert , better known as Adam Lambert , is an American singer and actor born in Indianapolis on January 29, 1982. Jewish by maternal blood and of Scandinavian origin on his paternal side, he moved when he was barely one year old to San Diego, California, where he was raised with his parents. As a child, he already began to take an interest in music and acting in the high schools where he studied, where he participated in theater, choir and jazz band activities. Due to his Jewish origins, he even performed songs such as 'Shir LeShalom' at the Temple of the Arts at Saban Theatre, in tribute to the assassinated Israeli Prime Minister Rabin Yizthak .
