Transformers One 2024 iBomma: Box Office Collection, Release Date, Review

As with the live-action Transformers film series, the animated Transformers One film will expand the franchise, telling the origin story of Cyberton and the relationship between Optimus Prime and his rival Megatron. The film will be directed by Toy Story 4 writer Josh Cooley and co-written by Cooley and Transformers shared universe writers Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. From what has been revealed, Transformers One will have a very different feel than the other installments of the film franchise.

Although Transformers One is yet to arrive, plenty of details about the film have been released, and they have only served to increase the excitement even more. Based on the facts that have been revealed about the story, it looks like it's taking heavy inspiration from the origin story that was featured in previous television and comic book adaptations. Transformers One is chronologically the first in the Transformers film series, so the pressure is on to deliver an exciting origin story for these beloved characters.

Transformers One 2024 Cast

The cast of Transformers One is filled with familiar names, including some of the most popular actors working today. Chris Hemsworth voices Optimus Prime, while his MCU co-star Scarlett Johansson plays Elita, another leader of the Autobot resistance. Keegan-Michael Key continues his acting streak by voicing Bumblebee.

Transformers One also stars Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion, one of the oldest Autobots and one of the most popular characters in the Transformers series. On the villain side, Brian Tyree Henry plays a young Megatron, who later becomes the main antagonist of the series. Another familiar Transformers character will appear in Transformers One, as Steve Buscemi has been tapped to voice the evil Starscream, who will be the main villain of the film.

Transformers One Story Details

Although the scope of Transformers One is not yet fully known, it has been confirmed that it will be an origin story for Cybertron, exploring the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron that sees them go from allies to enemies. The two young robots envision a better world and, upon gaining the ability to transform, set out on different paths to achieve that goal. It seems Transformers One will stick strictly to the Autobots' backstory from the source material, telling a completely different story from the main live-action Transformers film series.
