Raghu Thatha will hit the big screens on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day. The film will clash with Vikram starrer Thangalan and horror thriller sequel Demonte Colony at the box office. Raghu Thatha will take advantage of the Independence Day weekend as the film is said to have some patriotic elements as well.

Raghu Thatha 2024 Trailer Details

The team recently released the trailer of the film. It introduces us to the character played by Keerthy Suresh, a rebellious woman who does not want to be confined to the typical characteristics of a woman. On several occasions, she confronts those around her who conform to societal expectations. We are also shown that she is a police cadet and that she helps those who question her marriage. The trailer also shows other characters from the film, with Keerthy Suresh handling some of the responsibility. What the central conflict of the film is is not revealed to us and the film also seems to be about the anti-Hindi movement.

Keerthy Suresh, who was last seen in Siren, leads Raghu Thatha. Apart from her, the film also stars MS Bhaskar, Ravindra Vijay, Devadarshini, Jayakumar, Rajiv Ravindranathan, Anandasamy, Rajesh Balachandran, Ismath Banu, Adheera Pandilakshmi, Janaki and Choo Khoy Sheng. KS Meppu, Mukesh and Manoj Kumar Kalaivanan.

Raghu Thatha is produced by Hombale Films, the production house behind the KGF and Salaar film franchises. The upcoming film will mark their debut in Tamil filmmaking. Writer Suman Kumar will make his directorial debut with Raghu Thatha. The film is shot by cinematographer Yamini Yagnamoorthy, who worked with Keerthy in Saani Kayidham. Raghu Thatha has music by Sean Roldan and editing by TS Suresh.
