Ubisoft insists: 'Yes, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development'
Once again, Ubisoft wanted to make it clear that Beyond Good and Evil 2 has not been cancelled. It is the video game with the longest development to date.
With the recent announcement of the release date of Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition , which launches tomorrow ( June 25 ) on all platforms, the gaming community has asked the same question in unison: what about the second part? Taking advantage of the fact that there is very little left for the arrival of the remastering, Ubisoft has responded by insisting ( again ) that it is still in development .
Beyond Good and Evil remaster will help connect both games
It has been the official account of the saga on Twitter (now X) that has confirmed that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development.
In fact, the company points out that in this remastering of the original game new content will be introduced that will help connect both installments , delving into the childhood of Jade (protagonist of the first Beyond Good and Evil ).
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is officially the video game with the longest development in history, surpassing other projects that have also taken their time to reach our hands. At the moment Ubisoft has not shown any news about this long-awaited new installment of the saga, but we do know that Ubisoft Barcelona (the studio that seems to be mainly in charge of this title) was still hiring staff for the project at the end of last year.
Yes, Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, and we cannot wait for you to discover more about Jade's past in the 20th Anniversary Edition! ☀️
